Craig has been in the financial services industry for more than 40 years. He started at IDS/American Express Financial Services (now Ameriprise Advisors) in 1986, then joined Shearson Lehman Brothers in February of 1988 (now Morgan Stanley Smith Barney). He left Smith Barney in September of 2003 to start an independent wealth management firm, what is now Prairie Wealth Advisors, Inc.
Craig and his wife Vicky divide their time between Pompano Beach Florida and Lincoln Nebraska. They have four boys, one girl, and ten grandchildren. Craig has been involved with several community organizations, serving on the boards or committees of United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County, American Red Cross, Lincoln Community Foundation, and The Nebraska Big Game Society.

Tim McEwen CFP® is the President at Prairie Wealth Advisors. With a client-first philosophy, he partners with high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners to create comprehensive wealth management strategies that deliver clarity, confidence, and long-term results.
As a Certified Financial Planner® professional, Tim brings specialized expertise in tax management, estate planning, and succession planning. He is particularly skilled at designing sophisticated portfolio solutions that precisely match each client’s unique goals, values, and priorities-then translating those complex strategies into straightforward, actionable plans that clients can easily understand and implement.
Passionate about simplifying the complex world of wealth management, Tim leads the team in delivering personalized guidance that helps clients navigate every stage of their financial journey with greater ease and peace of mind.
He has served on local charity boards including, Matt Talbot, Junior Achievement, Junior Achievement Board of Trustees, Lincoln Literacy Council, Lincoln Downtown Rotary Club, Lincoln Christian School, Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation, and Git-R-Done Foundation.
Tim and his wife, Dani, enjoy spending time with their seven children and two grandchildren. In their free time, they enjoy golfing, traveling, and supporting Husker athletics.
Paula Deitering

Paula Deitering is senior vice president at Prairie Wealth Advisors, where she helps individuals and families navigate important financial decisions with confidence.
Paula’s approach to wealth management is rooted in relationships. She believes no two clients are alike, and effective financial advice should reflect each person’s goals, priorities and circumstances. By taking the time to understand what matters most to each client, Paula develops personalized strategies designed to support their long-term financial well-being.
Paula brings decades of service and financial industry experience to her role. Before joining Prairie Wealth Advisors, she served in the United States Air Force from 1984 to 1988, followed by a career in civil service. She began her wealth management career with Edward Jones in 1999 and later served as vice president at Morgan Stanley. She joined Prairie Wealth Advisors in 2014.
Deeply committed to giving back, Paula has been a longtime supporter of organizations serving families, seniors, veterans and local communities. She is an annual sponsor of the Bellevue Senior Center, where she has served on the board for more than 15 years. She also sponsors the Metro Youth Foundation, organizes food drives for Foodbank for the Heartland, and is a donor to the Suicide Prevention and Community Alliance in Nebraska. Beyond Nebraska, Paula dedicates time to a veterans home in Florida and sponsors Equality Florida in Jacksonville.
When she is not working with clients, Paula enjoys tackling home renovation projects, keeping up with fashion trends and traveling with her husband, Mark, and their Maltipoo, Teddy. She also cherishes time with her six grandchildren.

Jon is a trusted advisor who collaborates closely with client families and institutions to actualize their financial aspirations. His multifaceted role extends to conducting thorough investment analysis, executing trades, and crafting customized wealth plans for our valued clients. With a steadfast commitment to excellence, Jon navigates the complexities of wealth management insuring client peace of mind.
Jon graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science degree in business finance and has passed the Series 7,66, SIE, & insurance exams. Jon holds the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor designation.
Jon is married to his high school sweetheart Kari, and they have been blessed with four children. Outside of work, Jon enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, hunting, cheering on the Huskers and is actively involved with his local church, community, and his children’s youth activities.
Michael P. Finnegan, CFA

As the chief investment officer, Mike will help shape and steward Prairie Wealth’s investment philosophy, guide portfolio strategy across the client spectrum and strengthen the firm’s manager research and due diligence capabilities.
Mike is a senior investment professional with more than three decades of experience spanning portfolio management, asset allocation, product development, and institutional investment consulting.
He served as Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Principal Funds, where he led a 35-person investment services team and built the firm’s original sub-advisory platform—growing it into one of the industry’s largest, with over 50 non-affiliated managers and assets exceeding $45 billion. As lead portfolio manager of Principal’s LifeTime target-date funds, he helped grow assets from $3 billion to over $20 billion, and he designed and managed three outcome-oriented, multi-strategy funds—including a liquid multi-manager hedge fund—whose combined assets surpassed $15 billion at his departure. He later led the development of a new suite of multi-strategy funds and ETFs at Guggenheim Investment Management.
Earlier in his career, Mike served as President of Principal Financial Advisors, overseeing more than 400 institutional retirement plan clients and over $6 billion in advisory assets, and chaired Principal’s firm-wide product development and trust investment committees. His background also includes investment consulting at Wilshire Associates, senior asset allocation, and public-markets oversight at the Iowa Public Employees Retirement System. He holds a Master of Arts in Finance from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Iowa State University, and he earned the CFA designation in 1996.
Brooke Wimes

Brooke Wimes is the Director of Client Services for The McEwen Group. In this role, Brooke meticulously and efficiently manages the systems and operation of the team. She is a trusted resource for all needs, specializing in excellent client service and relationship development.
Brooke graduated from Doane University, Magna Cum Laude. She has been with The McEwen Group since 2005 and is FINRA registered and insurance licensed.
Brooke and her husband, DeMon, have one son, Quentin. She enjoys running, cheering Quentin on in his multiple activities and spending time with family, friends, and two dogs, Jet and Gizmo.
Kimberly Baker

Kimberly joined the team in May 2022, bringing more than 12 years of experience in wealth management and financial services. She is deeply committed to delivering exceptional client service by providing personalized, attentive support to every client while efficiently managing the firm’s daily operations.
Kimberly takes pride in her ability to solve complex client issues and streamline administrative challenges that can often stand in the way of a smooth client experience. She works proactively to anticipate needs, resolve problems quickly, and remove obstacles so clients can move forward with clarity and confidence. Whether coordinating details, clarifying processes, or handling intricate service requests, she focuses on making things easier and more efficient for clients at every stage.
Kimberly and her husband, A.J., have five children. Together, they enjoy attending their children’s sports games, spending time outdoors, and traveling. She also volunteers with The Hope Center for Kids and at her local church.
Josh Vandenberg

Josh brings more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry to his role as Wealth Planning Manager. With a background in technology and process improvement, he offers a unique perspective that helps deliver better outcomes for clients. He is dedicated to meeting client needs while implementing and refining technology platforms and innovative solutions to create a seamless, successful client experience.
Josh graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a degree in Business Administration and an emphasis in Finance. Prior to joining Prairie Wealth Advisors, he worked at Waddell & Reed, Pacific Life, and other financial services firms.
In his spare time, Josh enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time in the great outdoors.
Tezra Greder

Tezra Greder joined the team in July 2010. Prior to that, she spent more than 14 years as a Branch Sales Manager in the lending industry, working for companies such as Transamerica Financial, Household Financial Services, and Equity One (Banco Popular).
Her primary responsibilities include marketing, event planning, client relations, and overseeing daily operations.
Tezra and her husband, Greg, have one son and one daughter. She served as a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters for nine years and volunteers with The People’s City Mission and the Food Bank. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, watching her children’s sports activities, golfing, cooking, gardening, and painting. Some of her artwork is displayed locally.

A.J. joined the team in January 2023 as a Business Development Coordinator and Investment Advisor Representative. He genuinely enjoys building meaningful, long-term relationships with clients and helping them navigate their most important financial decisions.
As an Investment Advisor Representative, A.J. is committed to guiding clients through market volatility, simplifying complex investment choices, managing life transitions, and creating personalized strategies that bring clarity, confidence, and a clear path toward their goals.
A.J. graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. With more than a decade of experience in financial services, he previously worked at Northwestern Mutual, MassMutual, and Farm Bureau Financial Services, where he developed expertise in client-centered planning and building trusted relationships.
In 2023, A.J. married his wife. Together, they are the proud parents of a daughter and a dog. He believes that financial security paired with peace of mind allows families to truly enjoy what matters most.
Caleb Friendt

Caleb joined Prairie Wealth Advisors as Compliance and Client Governance Associate. In this role, he supports the firm’s regulatory compliance efforts, internal policies, and client governance practices. He assists with legal and regulatory matters while contributing to financial planning analysis, helping ensure that clients receive service grounded in strong oversight and protection.
Prior to joining Prairie Wealth Advisors, Caleb spent seven years at Union Bank & Trust. He began his career in the mortgage department before transitioning to the health benefits division, where he focused on Health Savings Accounts. This experience gave him valuable exposure to regulatory requirements and client-centered financial processes.
Caleb graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a degree in Finance. He is committed to applying his background to strengthen compliance frameworks and client governance at Prairie Wealth Advisors, supporting the firm’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and client service.
Outside of the office, Caleb enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, golfing, and volunteering at his local church.

As Administrative Assistant for the McEwen Group at PWA, Isabelle focuses her time serving our client’s operational and administrative needs while also contributing to our Marketing and Client Event management. Isabelle brings a bright smile and great energy to every conversation and excels at simplifying our clients’ lives.
Isabelle is a student in the College of Business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln pursuing a degree in Marketing and expecting to graduate in December of 2026. She is also a member of Delta Gamma- Kappa Chapter. Isabelle recently became engaged and is excited for her wedding next year with fiancé Carter.

Mitch started at Prairie Wealth in May of 2019. He graduates from Nebraska Wesleyan University in December 2026 with a degree in Business Administration. Mitch enjoys helping clients and making sure day to day operations run smoothly. He spends most of his free time on the golf course where he hopes to break 80 before the calendar year is over.

Food For The Hungry
After Craig and his wife Vicky went on several mission trips to the Dominican Republic, they were drawn to continue helping people there. In February of 2019 Prairie Wealth Advisors decided to sponsor 9 children from that country through Food For The Hungry. We are also working towards a team trip together in the future.
Founded in 1971 by Dr. Larry Ward, Food For The Hungry works in more than 20 countries around the world providing life-changing resources such as clean water, medical aid, food, education, vocational training, spiritual development and hope.
Mustaches 4 Kids
Our Chief Compliance Officer, Josh Vandenberg, is part of Mustaches 4 Kids Omaha. Mustaches for Kids Omaha is the local chapter of Mustaches for Kids International, a volunteer-run organization started in Los Angeles in 1999 to do good and have fun by growing Mustaches for children’s charities. The concept is pretty simple, you get pledges/donations to grow a mustache for one month. All the money raised during this fundraiser is donated to local children’s charities.
Ignite Kart Racing
Paula Deitering and Prairie Wealth Advisors are the trophy sponsors for Ignite Karting Nebraska, which is a collection of racers involved in the fastest growing and most competitive karting class in the country. The Ignite program is designed as an affordable way to go kart racing.
